"Globular Cluster" original print
Inspired by rocks overlapping one another, “Globular Cluster” is a reference to outer space and inner space at once. This print is anchored by a dark ground that is literally huddled with objects resembling the rocks I collect, but at the same time they feel like organic cells or dark spaces from within a body. Because a globular cluster is tightly bound by gravity, I wanted to show all these spherical shapes pulling together and united within the small space of the plate. Creating an energy of formal space within drawings and prints is one of my favorite things to engage in, and “Globular Cluster” is a small edition that does just that.
